Happy summer, Lester Park Families!

And just like that, we've completed another wonderful year here at Lester Park. We are always grateful for the involvement and support we get from our Lester Park school community. You are your children's first and most important teachers and we couldn't do what we do without your support. Enjoy the break, and tell those kids that Mrs. Cawcutt says, "Don't forget to read!"

Thank you for sharing your precious children with us this year; it has been such a joy to watch them learn and grow. It is an honor and a privilege for me to serve this community, and I couldn't be more proud of our school.

Have a wonderful summer; we can't wait to see everyone in the fall!

It's so hard to believe that today is the last day of school. The school year has really flown by! We will miss all of our students so much, especially our 5th graders who are moving on to OEMS. We wish them all the best and hope they pop by sometime to say hi!

Report cards

Teachers will be working on entering and updating grades until Monday.

Parents/Guardians will be able to view their child's grades on Infinite Campus by next Wednesday.

Report cards will be mailed out to families next Thursday.

2024-25 School Supply Lists

The School Supply List will be finished up this week and put on the school website next week. It will be a Smore link to make it easier for parents to read.

2024-25 Teacher Assignments

Similar to the last 10 years, teacher assignments will not be mailed to families. You will need to log into the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus in late August to find out.

Teacher assignments are typically posted on Infinite Campus the Friday before the Open House, but that could change as this is a district-wide decision. Once we know, we will put it in our school newsletters. Our first school newsletter will be sent to families on Thursday, August 15.

Due to data privacy laws, teacher assignments cannot be given over the phone or in an email. So please make sure you are able to log into the Parent Portal now. The school office will be very busy before school starts. If you wait until then to ask for help with the Parent Portal, you could be waiting a few days.

Address or bus changes for the start of the school year?

Are you moving this summer? Please make sure to give us an updated address and date you moved/moving. In order to update the address in Infinite Campus, the school district requires a residence verification such as a lease or purchase agreement, or a tax statement.

Will your child be taking a different bus starting this September? Please email lesterpark@isd709.org and let us know the following:

Child's name
Start date
Street Address
Is this address home or childcare?
Morning or Afternoon bus or both?

2024-25 Blended Learning Consent Form

ALL Student passwords will change next week!

So be sure to fill out the 2024-25 Blended Learning form now so your child will have access when they come back to school this fall (and if they need it for summer school).

Required form for 2024-25

The Blended Learning Agreement for the 2024-25 school year will give students full access to Duluth Public Schools Digital Resources (chromebook, tablet, online programs, testing, etc).

The form requires your child's Student ID #. Their email is OPTIONAL and you do NOT need to enter it to complete the form. Instructions on how to find these are below.

How do I find out my child's Student ID # (Lunch #)?

* Log into Infinite Campus

* Click on your child's picture

* Their Student ID # is either under or to the right of their small picture.

How do I find out my child's school email?

* Click on "More" on the left side

* Click on "Family Information"

* Here you will find their email as well as your contact information. Please check over your email and phone #s to make sure we have the most accurate way to contact you if your child is ill and if there is an emergency.
