Please join us for our annual Back to School night from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. We hope you take advantage of the evening to get to know your student's teachers, the classroom expectations, and how we are all "empowering personal excellence in every learner."

Below you will find the bell schedule for the evening. Parking is available in the Hart Road lot and at the District Administration Center. Watch for a special "Back to School Night Bronco Blast Edition" early next week.

Due to scheduling conflicts with Homecoming Week Festivities, school portraits have been postponed until October.

Between 10/26 and 10/31, students will take their school portrait during their English class. Freshmen students will take their photos on Thursday 10/26, Sophomores on Friday 10/27, and Juniors on Monday 10/30. Teachers will set aside a small portion of class time to escort students to C271 to take their photos and then will proceed with instructional time. Any freshman-junior student absent during their English class’ designated day can take their picture on Tuesday 10/31 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. during any open period. Senior walk-in portraits will still occur on 10/4 from 8 am - 3 pm in C271.

Join us for an INAUGURAL PTO BOYS HOMECOMING DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT! Have your student get a team of 6-8 players together and register for this fun event on Wednesday, September 20th at 7 p.m. in the BHS Gym! Themed outfits are welcomed, and open to all 9th - 12th grade boys. Parents, be sure to come cheer on your students! Winners will receive champion t-shirts and have their names on the trophy displayed in the high school trophy case

Please join us for a ribbon-cutting ceremony immediately following the Homecoming parade on Saturday, Sept. 23, to celebrate several completed Build 220 construction projects at Barrington High School! The ceremony will begin at approximately 11:15 am, right after the parade down Main Street. Please meet at the Main Entrance (Door 45), which faces Main Street. Following the ribbon cutting, you will have an opportunity to tour the new spaces at Barrington High School including the new dedicated Student Services area, the new Athletic/P.E. wing, and the new Culinary Arts Lab.

Beginning with the Fall Choir Concert on September 28, parking spaces will be available for patrons who require parking spaces that are closer to the auditorium lobby. These spaces will be located near Door 10 which is adjacent to the bus parking lot on the east side of Barrington High School and available for evening and weekend performances and auditorium events. The spots will be designated as reserved for handicapped parking, but access to the spaces does not require a state-issued handicapped tag. Please feel free to use these spaces if you or a family member needs closer access.

On Tuesday, October 10th, 2023 Barrington High School will be holding our annual Fall Testing Day for all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students. This day helps us gather data to support course placement for students for the next school year, helps students practice for the school accountability tests in the Spring, and can help 11th-grade students qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Due to popular demand, we are reopening orders for the Class of 2024 Senior shirts! This will be the last and final order! Shirts are $20 each. Proceeds help offset the cost of senior events, like the Senior Boat Cruise at the end of the year. Notification of the pickup date will be announced soon. Join us for the SECOND PTO MEETING OF THE YEAR ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 9, at 9:15 am. Get the latest info from the counseling department for what each grade level needs to be doing this year, the latest updates from Principal Steve McWilliams on the school and the renovation, as well as hear from PTO committee chairs on upcoming events and initiatives. Park in the Visitor's Parking section (Main Street entrance), and enter at the main entrance (to the left of the new atrium).

The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority and we commit to offering a safe

and secure educational environment. Barrington 220 is now partnering with an Illinois school safety helpline aimed at providing students a place to report information that might prevent bullying, suicide, and campus violence. Safe2Help is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It allows students to confidentially share school safety issues via a mobile app, text, email, or phone call. You will notice that the "See Something, Say Something" button on our district and school website now links directly to the Safe2Help contact page. We are asking that all students, parents, staff, and community members now use this platform to report safety concerns. In the case of an emergency, call 911.
