What are we learning this quarter?
How to Write Their Name
Letter Names and Sounds
We will start right away learning letter names and sounds. Practicing at home is extremely important!
Numbers 1-10
We will be working on one to one correspondence with numbers 1-10.
Reading and Creating Graphs
We will collect data and learn how to use it in a graph.
Five Senses
We will learn all about our 5 senses.
Parts of a story
We will learn all of the different parts of a story including characters, setting, problem, and solution.
Patterns
Students will explore how to make a pattern with different objects.
Community Helpers
We will learn about jobs and important people in our community.
Objects and their attributes
We will learn about different ways to describe an object. This can be by color, size, or shape.
What else can students work on at home?
Learn how to tie your shoes!
This is an important lifelong skill that kindergarteners need!

Check their folders!
Teachers will send home folders every day with student work and important information. Checking it every day will keep you in the loop on what your child is learning.
