One more busy week before one week away!
We have made it to the final week before Thanksgiving Break. This is the longest stretch of time, in the entire school year, that students go without a long break. From the beginning of the year until today, it has been 12 weeks! If you have noticed your child struggling to get out of bed, or having bigger feelings, or feeling less energetic, it's most likely because they are ready for a break. They have worked hard and made a lot of progress in so many areas this fall, and they need some time to sleep, rest, play, and be with family. This week, we have a Holiday Meal on the 21st and a toy drive running all week for our friends at Umbrella. When we come back from the break, we will have Student Led Conferences. These conferences are a wonderful way for students to share their learning, reflect on the first trimester, and set some goals for the second. Please make sure you sign up with your student's teacher!
Looking back over our first trimester, I am immensely proud of the learning the BTS staff and students have done together. Soccer games, robotics, cross country meets, D&D club, community projects, the Pumpkin Run, the Veteran's Day breakfast, and even the Fall Festival have been huge successes. All of these things show the dedication of our staff, engagement of our students, and support of our families. Thank you, everyone!
