Dear Eagle Nation,
Celebrating Our Classified School Employees
This week in Eagle Nation, we proudly celebrated CSD Classified School Employee Week! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to recognize and appreciate our incredible CSD Classified Staff. Their dedication is a cornerstone of CSD’s Strategic Plan – Roadmap '27, Goal #2: Supporting Every Student’s Well-being & Inclusion. From our bus drivers, office staff, educational assistants, custodial and maintenance teams, kitchen staff, and all other classified employees—our school simply wouldn’t be the same without you. Your hard work, commitment, and care make a profound difference in the daily lives of our students, and we are deeply grateful for everything you do!
Honoring Our School Social Workers
Last week, we also recognized National School Social Work Week, taking a moment to express our deep appreciation for our CHS Social Workers. Their invaluable contributions play a critical role in supporting the well-being of our students and staff and are an essential part of CSD’s Strategic Plan – Goal #2. Thank you for your dedication and for making a lasting impact in our community!
Hands-On & Extended Learning Opportunities
Providing students with enriching, hands-on learning experiences is a top priority under CSD’s Strategic Plan – Roadmap '27, Goal #4: Ensuring Equitable Access to High-Quality Academics. This week, students participated in exciting field trips and events, including:
- Marketing Class Field Trip
- Mt. Hood Community College Visit
- Young Women of Purpose – REAP (More details in our next CHS Community Update!)
- USACE Engineering Day
On March 6, 2025, the Portland District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) hosted its annual Engineering Day, introducing local high school students to careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Over 100 students participated in hands-on activities, sparking interest in future careers in engineering.
A huge thank you to our dedicated staff, community partners, and students for making these opportunities possible. Your enthusiasm and engagement continue to show what it means to be an Eagle!
Mardi Gras Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament – Thanks to Our Student Leadership!
