Scappoose High School's CTE Night: Igniting Passion, Inspiring Futures!"
What an amazing night at Scappoose High School's Spring CTE Night last week! We were thrilled to see so many students and community members join us to explore our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. The evening was filled with impressive demonstrations, innovative student projects, and opportunities to meet our dedicated CTE instructors.
From student art exhibitions to engaging hands-on activities, attendees were wowed by the diverse offerings and achievements of our talented students. The energy and enthusiasm were truly inspiring, showcasing how our CTE programs prepare students for bright futures. Thank you to everyone who came out and made this event an amazing success!
Students Enjoy a Thrilling Day at Sande School of Horsemanship
This week, Ms. Poppy's students embarked on an incredible field trip to the Sande School of Horsemanship in Warren. The visit was filled with educational and hands-on experiences that our students will remember for a long time.
During the trip, the students toured the stables and barns, which are home to over 40 horses. They learned about the importance of grooming and caring for these magnificent animals, gaining insights into the daily routines and responsibilities involved in horse care.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity for the students to ride the horses in the arena. This hands-on experience not only built their confidence but also deepened their appreciation for these wonderful creatures.
It was a fantastic day at the stables, full of learning, fun, and unforgettable experiences. We are incredibly grateful to the Sande School of Horsemanship for hosting us and providing such an enriching experience for our students.
A special thank you to the Grant Watts Parent Organization for helping to support this incredible opportunity. Your contribution made this unforgettable day possible!
Warren's Second Grade Shines Bright with 'Warren Zoo' Extravaganza!
Warren had an extraordinary event this week! Ms. Sarver’s 2nd-grade class dazzled everyone with their incredible "Warren Zoo" presentation in the gym. Each student showcased their hard work by researching a zoo animal, creating informative plaques, and crafting stunning dioramas that brought their animal's natural habitat to life.
This engaging and fun project served as the perfect warm-up for our highly anticipated field trip to the zoo on June 13th, where the Warren students will have the chance to see these amazing creatures up close. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support our talented students!
Kindergarteners Embrace Green Thumbs in Fun Seed Planting Project
Last week, the Kindergarteners at Grant Watts had an absolutely delightful time planting seeds in pots, thanks to the Grant Watts Parent Organization, which helped to support this engaging event. The children radiated with springtime excitement as they dove into the world of planting and gardening. With a wide array of seeds to choose from, ranging from vibrant flowers to juicy cantaloupes, each student eagerly selected their favorites to nurture and grow. Now, their anticipation is palpable as they eagerly await the flourishing of their plants. This hands-on experience not only brought smiles to their faces but also ignited a genuine excitement for what lies ahead!
