Principal Message
Thank you for making your child's education a priority. Our campus attendance goal is to be at 97% by the end of the 24-25 school year. We are currently at 95.11%. When your child has consistent attendance they not only receive a strong foundation without learning gaps, they learn how to communicate, resolve conflicts and build relationships.
We are wishing everyone a safe and relaxing spring break. Please remember the district will be closed Monday, March 10th thru Friday, March 14th. We look forward to seeing our Tigers back on March 17th. Have your child wear green as we return to school on St. Patrick's Day.
Jersey Village seniors that attended Gleason Elementary are eligible to apply for the Gleason Scholarship. Two students will be chosen and eligible to earn $1000 which is donated by Gleason staff. The deadline is March 31, 2025. See information in the Counselor's Corner below.

Monthly Character Traits
(Gleason will introduce the trait the first Wednesday of each month)
March: Consideration
As part of the CFISD’s Bringing Out the Best Program (BOTB), we are focusing on Consideration for the month of March. The definition of Consideration is continuous and careful thought. We have taken into consideration most of our decisions as an adult. However, kids need reminders to stop and think and problem solve. Here’s a great template to help kids take in consideration of their choices. Consideration Template
Attention JVHS Parents of Seniors

Counselor's Corner
In February, I was able to virtually visit classrooms. The focus was regulating our feelings and coping strategies to help us regulate our feelings. Feelings are okay, but we have to keep our feelings healthy and safe too. In PK-2nd grade teachers teach Conscience Discipline and the strategies are used with upper grades, but we steer away from the feeling buddies.
Here are the steps, so you can practice with your child at home:
I AM: Move yourself to a safe place.
I CALM: Breathing techniques
I FEEL: Identify the feeling
I CHOOSE: For 2-3 minutes, do a coping skill or grounding technique to ensure you’re calm
I SOLVE: Think about how you’re going to solve the problem and do it.
Click here to see some great examples of coping skills.
Click here to see some amazing parenting tips to help your child self-regulate.
At any time, if your family is needing resources for emotional health, financial support, or going through a family change, please reach out. I am a resource for your child. Here are some of the available resources.
5th Grade Parents:
Thank you for your continued support in helping set your child up for success in 6th grade. Please continue to watch for School Messengers, the PAWS Newsletter and the Parent Information: Middle School Transition 25-26 for current information.
Here are some important dates for Middle School:
March 7th- elective sheets due today!
K-Level Letters (Spanish) will be sent the week we return from Spring Break and our 3rd nine-weeks grades are finalized for those students that earn a yearly average of 85% thus far.
Changes in K-Level after 4th nine-weeks grades are final will be sent with report cards.
A Note From The Nurse...Mrs. Nguyen
Please remember to pack a spare set of clothes (socks and underwear) in case of bathroom accidents or drink spills. PreK and KG should have several sets. Borrowed clothes should be returned clean to clinic as soon as possible since we are running very low.
Parents should anticipate a call from the clinic to provide clothing if the student does not have a spare set and if the clinic is out of clothes in their size.
We are looking for gently used girls/boys shorts, new girls/boys underwear donations (size Small-Medium/6-8), and baby wipes. Thank you so much!
