THMS Student Update
November 2024
Dear Badger Community,
As we welcome November, we have much to celebrate and be grateful for at Tucson High Magnet School!
Last week the Arizona Department of Education released their State Letter Grades and Tucson High Magnet School earned a B! Our score is the highest achieved in eight years at Tucson High! It is thirteen points higher than last years' score and we have the third highest score in TUSD's High Schools! We were only 2.69 points away from an A grade! Congratulations to all students, teachers, and staff members who actively worked to achieve their best last school year! Let's stay focused on outstanding achievement and do the same, and better, this school year! We want students to come to school every day, be on time to every class, and complete all of their assignments to the best of their ability. Passing classes and graduating on time in four years is our goal for all of students.
Our AVID and M.E.Ch.A Clubs are sponsoring a Block Festival on Friday, November 1st, from 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. Please refer to the flyer below for more information.
This Saturday, November 2nd, our Badger Alumni Foundation will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of our Main Building and dedicate the Veteran's Memorial Bricks outside the Hall of Champions. The events will begin at 12:45 p.m. with an Air National Guard Flyover. We invite all alumni to join us in this special celebration.

Overdue Student Laptops
Overdue student devices that have been marked "Lost" in Destiny will be disabled Monday, Nov. 4.
If a student laptop or iPad has not been checked in by the deadline when it was due, its Destiny status has been changed to "Lost." The "Lost" status will trigger our system to disable the laptop on Nov. 4.
When this occurs, no one will be able to log into the device until it has been checked back into Destiny; until then, students who attempt to log in will see an error message notifying them that their password is invalid.
To avoid this situation, students must take overdue devices to the Library. Our Library staff will then check the device into Destiny and back out to the student.
