Skate Night is CANCELLED!
PTO Skate Night is cancelled!
Due to uneven and unsafe ice conditions, the city of Coon Rapids has closed outdoor rinks. There will be NO Mississippi PTO event at Riverview Park tonight. We apologize for the change.

Sign Up for Conferences! We are excited to meet with our Mississippi families! Whenever possible, please arrange for one conference per student. In order to have enough conference time slots for each student, we ask that parents agree on one time slot per student whenever possible. If you have not signed up by Feb 10th, your teacher will assign a conference slot for you.

Family Literacy Night is Feb 4th!
I Love to Read Month
You will receive information from our library teacher Mrs. Hibbard about I Love to Read month. Please check out this calendar for optional activities you and your child can do to support a love for reading. Students who complete 10 activities and turn in the calendar by March 6th will get a prize!
PTO Fundraiser- World's Finest Chocolates
February 7th - 20th, Information will be coming home soon!
Get ready to sell some chocolate! Our PTO is raising money to support our school. This year money was spent on student t-shirts, field trips, class parties, teacher appreciation, and other items to support teachers and students in the classroom.
A few things to note:
- You can sell up to two boxes of chocolate at a time
- If you want to sell more than two, please pay ahead of time
- Boxes can be sent home in your child's backpack or picked up during conferences on Feb 13th or 18th
- Chocolate bars are BIGGER this year and cost $2
- Unsold chocolates and money collected is due by February 21th

Volunteers Needed
We are gearing up for a very busy month of activities and would love your assistance to keep things running smoothly. Please first complete the Volunteer Application and then click any of the links to learn more about each volunteer opportunity and to sign up.
Feb 13th - 20th (various times): Volunteers are needed to help students and families with purchases at the Book Fair.
Feb 26th - 27th (during the school day): Volunteers are needed to escort students to and from the health office for the Dental Sealant Event.

Join us for a Mississippi PTO Meeting
The Mississippi PTO meets monthly. This is a great way to see what's happening at Mississippi and support your school. Join us even if you can't come every month! Meetings are 6:30-7:30pm in the library.
