It's a Record Breaking Year for SHS Athletes
We are proud to announce that Hayden Cox, a freshman goalkeeper for the Sullivan Arrows, has set a new single-season saves record by surpassing the remarkable 23-year-old record previously held by Anna Wilson. With 7 saves during last week's match, Hayden now boasts over 240 saves this season. This achievement highlights the importance of perseverance and skill development in athletics. Congratulations, Hayden!
SWHSAA Distinguished Alumni
The Southwest High Schools Alumni Association Board of Directors are looking for nominations for the SWHSAA Distinguished Alumni awards. Nominations are always open and members are selected in the spring yearly.
Criteria: Any graduate (living or deceased) of a high school located within the four townships of the current Southwest School Corporation (Haddon, Hamilton, Gill and Turman) can be nominated for admission. Nominations will not be publicly disclosed. The Board of Directors will keep a record of all nominees for consideration, so another nomination is not required UNLESS something has changed in the original application.
Selection: The Board of Directors will induct a living member from each township as well as one posthumous recipient on a rotating basis, for a total of five (5) nominees each year.
