Hello Falcon Families, I hope you all have had a fabulous weekend and that your November is off to a great start for your students. We have some important dates and updates to share with you as we head into the month of November:

11/14 - Vail vs.Dodge

11/15 - Alive Vail @ Secrist: Come out to AVMS to cheer for our teams in this exciting home game. GO FALCONS! All games begin at 4:30.

Thanksgiving Holiday Break (11/28 and 11/29): As we approach the end of November, please note that our Thanksgiving holiday break will be on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29th. We wish you all a warm and joyful Thanksgiving celebration with your loved ones.

We appreciate your ongoing support and involvement in our school community. These dates and events provide us with opportunities to come together, share information, and strengthen our AVMS family ties. Please follow us on our Facebook page for more pictures and updates on your wonderful Falcons!

Verizon Innovative Learning Schools

The iPads students use have many great math applications to support and reinforce math skills.

Educreations has video math explanations under the Star symbol in the menu.

The 38 Times Tables Challenge helps students practice the most difficult math facts.

Mathagon has courses in Geometry and Algebra, and math tools like number tiles, fraction bars, and prime-factor circles.

Fractions by MLC has a plain interface to explore fractions.

REMINDERS

All cellphones are in students' backpacks during the school day.
