Summer Term 2, Week 2
A word from Mr Broom
A huge well done to everyone for another wonderful Sports Day yesterday, and a special thank you to the PTA and also Mrs Watts for pulling it all together. Mr Snowden also did a super job in my absence too and well done to all the athletes taking part.
I also want to make a special mention of our amazing Year 6 pupils who took part in the Great Science Share this week. Adri and Millie were even chosen to present the opening of the event on behalf of the STARMAT; a very proud moment, I'm sure.
Our Y3/4 cricket team also impressed at the tournament in Kirk Fenton, winning their final match.
Today, our Year 6 children began their auditions for Schools Will Rock You! I do not envy Claire having to choose the parts. They're all amazing singers and actors!
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Car Convos!
Talk is really important for all learners in school and we know that our children are exposed to lots of exciting learning opportunities, both at home and at school. To help develop speaking and listening skills and knowledge of the wider world, we're introducing Car Convos! A topic that we share in the newsletter on a Friday, that families can discuss in the car on their travels. We'll then pick this up after the weekend.
This week's Car Convo centres around democracy. We talked about the General Election on Monday in assembly and this follows on from that.
This week's Car Convo:
If you were the Prime Minister, would you do to lead our country?

We are a 'Nut Free' School
A polite reminder that we have children in school who have severe nut allergies. Please ensure that you do not bring nuts on to the school site or include them in packed lunches.
Thank you for your support with this.
