Talk with your parents about how you can earn some money to buy something you want. How long will you need to save your money in order to purchase the item you want to buy? Set some financial goals for yourself.
For fun listen to the story, Alexander Who Used to Be Rich Last Year by Judith Voirst. The video is linked below. Did Alexander set a financial goal? How would setting a goal help Alexander with his money?
Author Study for Reading
Students, the focus this week is to pick an author and learn about the author's life and different books the author wrote. Drew Daywalt is known for writing fun stories about crayons, such as the The Day the Crayons Quit. Listen to Ms. Kuhfahl read The Legend of Rock, Paper Scissors.

Listen to the story Can I be Your Dog? by Troy Cummings. Think of your favorite character from your favorite book. Write a letter to that character telling the character about yourself and why you should be friends.
Science Exploring the Planets

After watching the video, students can try making a solar system craft to display. Another activity could involve the whole family is the solar system game instructions are linked on the buttons below.
Social Studies
You have been exploring communities and the landforms of the different places. Now it is your turn to research and explore a place that you would like to visit. Start your adventure by going to Pebblego.com. Click on Social Studies, click countries, and then click on a country you would like to visit.
What is the climate like that country? What landforms does the country have? What major cities are in the country? What places would you like to visit? Click on the button titled Country Research Activity to complete the activity.
