GOOD THINGS GROW HERE
Congratulations to this group of students who received recognition for being a great example of what it means to be a PVE Pronghorn. These students were caught either modeling a school-wide expectation or showing ownership for their learning. Way to be #PronghornStrong!
LIBRARY BOOKS ARE NOW PAST DUE
Just a reminder that ALL library books were due back today. If your child still has a book out, please make sure it is returned next week. Mrs. Kaler will begin issuing fines and sending reminders for those items that are still out.
Thank you for your help!
FIELD DAY IS COMING; VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Field Day will be on Tuesday, May 21st and will be divided into 2 sessions.
- 2nd, 3rd, & 4th will participate in the AM session from 9:30-12:00 (volunteers 9:00-12:15).
- Kindergarten, 1st & 5th will participate in the PM session from 1:10-3:40 (volunteers 12:45-3:50).
**These sessions have been divided to accommodate the number of class at PVE as well as keeping each class separate. **
We will need several volunteers to be able to make Field Day possible. Volunteers will be needed to run stations, supervise classes, additional floaters, monitor restrooms, and a clean-up crew at the end of the day. All help will be greatly appreciated. If you are available and willing to volunteer, please click on the link below to sign up. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach me by email (drlik.kristina@westada.org).

FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE
HELP!! Returning Clothing to Nurse Office
We are running low on some of our sizes! If you have items that were borrowed from the Health Office, please return those as soon as possible. If your child tends to still have accidents, please make sure you are sending in additional clothing in the backpack.
As you begin spring cleaning, if there are pants you would like to donate, we would gladly accept those items.
Thank you!
Nurse Carrie
FAMILY PICNIC
Our Family Picnic is on Friday, May 24, from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. We are so excited to have our parents here to celebrate all the hard work our students have put in and all they have accomplished this year! You may bring your lunch, purchase lunch at one of the many food trucks we have reserved or preorder your student a sack lunch from our cafeteria.
You are welcome to come to the school no earlier than 10:50 am to secure your space on the field, set up shade tents, and preorder lunch at one of the food trucks joining us this year. Please note that the field space is the only area available for families to gather.
*Your child's teacher will send you a link to order from the school kitchen if you need to utilize this service.
Here is the menu for the sack lunch option:
- Sandwich
- Veggie
- Fruit
- Cookie
- Milk
Sack lunches are $2.80 for students.
Students will exit the school building to the field area at 11:30. They can find their families and enjoy time together. At 12:30, we will ask that you begin packing up and out what you brought in. By 12:40, all students not being checked out of school will be asked to line up at the regular location to enter the building. We will also request that families also be ready to vacate the field and head out to enjoy the start of summer break, as we head back into the building to finish out the last day.
It is a FULL day of school on the last day. If you choose to check your student out to take home after the picnic, you will do so on the sign-out sheets provided. This year we will post those list to the windows so you can go to each teacher list to sign your child9ren) out. You may check them out at any time beginning at 10:50, so you do not have to wait in a long line at the end of the event.
*You may only sign out your child. If another adult is taking your children, the front office must be alerted prior to the event so we can make note. Also, please be sure to have an ID should there be questions from our staff if we are unfamiliar with you.
Again, please note that all staff remains at school until all students are accounted for, so please check your child out before leaving with them. We appreciate having to make extra phone calls or create unnecessary worry for any staff or families.
COVERAGE SUPPORT
Are you able to help us cover recess the next couple of weeks so teacher don't have to take their lunch to monitor noon recess? Our Noon Duty coverage is a skeletal crew, and many are out the next couple of weeks. If you are able to volunteer some time to enjoy games and activities with students, as well as help monitor students during their play, we would appreciate the help.
Times are 11:45-1:10
Please contact Duffy Lyles, SSA, to let her know your availability.
2024-2025 NOON DUTIES and CROSSING GUARDS NEEDED
Please think about how you can help support your students and PVE fill the needs we have with coverage in the mornings and during our lunch recesses.
This is a great group of people with whom to work. Come join our team and enjoy time with the amazing students we have the privilege of supporting. To apply please contact Amy Senethavilay or the front office staff.
SCHOOL SUPPLY OPTION AVAILABLE
The PTA is offering a quick and easy option for school supplies next year. If you are interested in purchasing a supply box, which will be available for pick up before Meet and Greet in August, please use the link: SCHOOL SUPPLY ORDER LINK.
Orders are due by July 1, 2024!
Need To Make A Change In How Your Child Gets Home? Checking Out a Student?
Please get in touch with the office before 3:00 for any last-minute changes at the end of the day, so we have plenty of time to communicate with staff members. (If preplanned, please email both the teacher and office.)
If you are coming in at the end of the day to check out a student, please note we will not call students down after 3:45 pm. They are already cleaning up and transitioning for release at the end of the day.
Thank you for being so understanding!
Please take a moment to look at your child's lunch balance. If you owe monies, please remit payment to help take care of the over $780 in debt owed at PVE. We appreciate you keeping your account current.
