Check out this adult title by Kristen Miller. Beverly Underwood and her arch-enemy, Lula Dean, have lived all their lives in the small town of Troy, Georgia. Beverly serves on the school board, while Lula has gained local fame for her crusade to ban "inappropriate" books from the public library—even though she has not read any of them. To replace the books she has challenged, Lula sets up her own lending library in a cute wooden hutch outside her home, filled with the "worthy" titles she thinks the town needs.

Unbeknownst to Lula, a prankster has swapped her wholesome books for banned titles like literary classics, gay romances, Black history, and Judy Blume novels. One by one, townsfolk who borrow from Lula’s library find their lives transformed. Just as Lula and Beverly run against each other for mayor, her secret library is exposed, sparking a showdown that will upend the town forever.
