Netiquette Do's

  • Identify yourself
  • Use a signature at the end of emails and text messages
  • Do unto others as you want others to do unto you
  • Respect others' privacy
  • CC with caution
  • Be concise
  • Acknowledge and return messages promptly
  • Use appropriate language
  • Use appropriate emoticons

Netiquette Don'ts

  • Use all caps; it's like yelling
  • Be confrontational
  • Be sarcastic
  • Send unwanted spam, jokes, and chain letters
  • Use offensive language
  • Visit unsafe websites
  • Break the law
