Royal was honored to host Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union (BVSCU) for dinner on Friday before the football game against Wharton. BVSCU not only partnered with three other businesses to purchase the new Falcon Stadium scoreboard, but also sponsored Friday night's football game.

Your vote is your voice! This election is important for Royal ISD. Four spots on the Royal ISD School Board are up for a vote. CLICK HERE to view the list of candidates. Royal ISD encourages citizens to do their research and VOTE.
- Learn about School Board Roles and Responsibilities. What do school boards do? What don't they do? How do they partner with the district superintendent to ensure success as Royal "invests in our tomorrow"? Also see the Texas Association of School Boards document titled "Effective Board Practices".
- Social media: Many of the candidates have social media pages to explain their platforms. Visit the pages to learn about each candidate and to ask questions.
- Royal ISD Board Meeting information: Get involved and make a difference! Visit meetings to learn about how the school board operates. Sign up for public comments to share any concerns.
- Some information posted on social media may be misleading or false. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) website contains data about school performance and provides a way to fact check items. Congratulations to RHS coach and OnRamps instructor Alicia Russo! She was spotlighted by the OnRamps College Algebra (ORCA) program today! The weekly newsletter is distributed to all Texas schools affiliated with University of Texas OnRamps, so we are extremely proud that Coach Russo was selected! In OnRamps, collaboration is key, and vocabulary acquisition is a fundamental skill. Can we combine the two? ORCA Instructor Alicia has found a favorite way! In her "Stand Up, Hand Up" Vocabulary Attainment Activity, all students are up and engaged defining a word, giving an example, and providing misconceptions with a partner. There is music, and mingling, and learning - oh my!

Royal ISD’s grant funds for COVID testing expired on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. As a result, COVID-19 testing will no longer be provided at our campuses. If you need to obtain a COVID test or vaccine, there are several options. CLICK HERE to learn more.
