Each day during the week had a different theme. Spirit Week participation was tallied and reported during homeroom to earn a point for the upcoming Spirt Game competition. The outcome of spirit week competition awarded a point for the Freshman and Junior classes.

The Freshman and Sophomore classes competed in the Freshmen Gym while the Junior and Senior classes competed in the High School Gym. In addition, our chorus opened the “ceremonies” with the singing of the DV Alma Mater. The students were also treated to performances by our marching band and cheerleading squad. Our students and staff had a great time with sophomores and seniors claiming victory!

Art Meets Food: Graphic Design Students Collaborate with Warrior Café Students
Students enrolled in the Graphic Design course had the opportunity to collaborate with the Warrior Café culinary students for their ice cream unit. Graphic design students worked on developing labels/logos for the ice cream flavor of the week. One of the culinary students presented the ideas and theme for the weekly ice cream to the graphic design students, who in turn created a graphic for the label. For this particular week, the flavor of the week was apple cider. Victoria Peral (pictured below) was the graphic designer for the apple cider week with the ice cream titled "The Itsy Bitsy Cider". The culinary students and Chef Niosi then brought the graphic design class a sample of the ice cream to try. It was an awesome collaboration, and the class hopes to continue to collaborate in the future.
Student Involvement
Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has been volunteering in the away concession stand at the home football games. Students in SAAC open the concession on the away side to help the football booster raise funds for their program. SAAC also sponsored a free raffle to all seniors with a chance to win end zone seats for the senior night football game. Four seniors were chosen and were able to bring a friend. The students had a great time enjoying the best view of the game.
Club Fair
On Friday, September 15th, the high school held its annual club fair for students during all lunches. Advisors and club members set up table displays to highlight their club accolades and recruit new members. The tables were set up in the hallway between the two cafeterias. Unity Week/Hat Parade
The week of October 16-20 was unity week, which is dedicated to spread kindness and to stop bullying. On October 18, students and staff wore orange in support against bullying. On October 19, students and staff had the opportunity to participate in a hat parade (support for cancer patients as well as raising money for hats to be shipped to patients). As a school, we partnered up with a nonprofit organization called the Heavenly Hats Foundation. Students and staff had the ability to pay $1 dollar to be able to wear hats in honor of individuals battling cancer. As a school we raised over $300. The proceeds were donated to offset the cost of shipping new hats to all the patients and hospitals around the United States. All the hat packages are donated free of charge to the patients and hospitals. Friday, October 20 was black and white Friday to show that DV stands together against bullying.
FBLA Student Leadership Workshop

Aquatics Coordinator
DV's New Aquatics Coordinator
The Delaware Valley School District is excited to announce the addition of Mrs. Sabrina Amigo as the DVHS Aquatics Coordinator. Mrs. Amigo immigrated to the US in 2014 to follow her dream of training for the Olympics under Todd Schmitz and the Colorado Stars swim team. She had previously qualified for two Olympic trials (2008 and 2012) in the 200m backstroke and 400 individual medley for Argentina where she worked as a civil engineer in Buenos Aires. However, after a few years immersed in the US aquatics world, she realized her passion for teaching children and adults how to swim.
Mrs. Amigo started at DV in May of 2023 and has already transformed our aquatics program. She has continued to work with our special needs population in the pool but has added working with PE classes and has revived the 4th grade Learn to Swim program. She takes pride in being a part of Warrior Nation and it can be seen in her willingness to help out whenever is needed, her passion for all things aquatics, and her positive and upbeat attitude.
When asked about her thoughts on the aquatics programs, HPE Department Chair Jen Marchetti said: “Mrs. Amigo is a pleasure to work with. She is friendly and connects well with students and staff. Everyone loves her pool decorations and the pool mascot “Swimmy”. Students and staff alike are so happy to have the 4th grade “Learn to Swim” program back up and running again. This is all thanks to Mrs. Amigo and her dedication to the students of DV.”
