Our next principal Coffee Chat will be TOMORROW, Friday, November 8th at 7:30 am. An RSVP was sent home earlier this week. The topic will be Math in the Classroom, and we will visit two classrooms to see math strategies in action.

If you have not already returned your child's Federal Impact Aid Card, please do so ASAP. It is extremely important that we receive a SIGNED Federal Impact Aid Card for each student, as this directly impacts funding within our district.

Our Fall Make-Up Picture Day will be this Tuesday, November 12th. If your child was absent on Picture Day (10/10), then he/she will be pulled during the day for a picture. If you were not pleased with the original photos taken on Picture Day and would like new photos to be taken of your child, please reach out to Lisa Marie Ferguson (lisa_ferguson@charleston.k12.sc.us).

To view your original pictures from picture day, please scan the QR code sent home with all students following picture day. If you no longer have your QR code, please navigate to https://legacystudios.com/accesscode/. Here, you will need to select "Find My Code." You will then enter your last name and your student's ID number to access photos. If you do not have your student's ID number, you can locate it in your PowerSchool Parent Portal or you can reach out to Mrs. Ferguson (lisa_ferguson@charleston.k12.sc.us) for assistance.

Our book fair is right around the corner! The Literati Book Fair will be ON CAMPUS from December 5th through December 13th. There will be lots of available options on site for purchase.

Additionally, students will be receiving a Literati Holiday Catalog with over 150 books, learning kits, educational toys, and games for families to shop online during the holiday season. Literati has partnered with experts in the fields of educational play and childhood development to curate a unique selection of gifts at every price point. All of the products featured in the catalog, along with more than 10,000 additional books, toys, and educational games, are available for purchase online at the year round Literati store (literati.com/store). All items purchased ship directly to your home, and a portion of all sales benefit our library.

Head down to Front Beach on Isle of Palms and help bring in the holiday season "island style!" The annual Isle of Palms Holiday Street Festival will be held on Saturday, December 7th from 2 - 7 pm on Ocean Boulevard. This free event will have live music, carnival rides, local arts and crafts vendors, restaurants and even a visit from Santa Claus. The Sullivan's Island Elementary Chorus kicks off the event at 2 pm followed by The Abbey Elmore Band. Closing out the event will be a performance by Yesterday's Wine. The City of Isle of Palms will officially light the 24' tree at approximately 5:30 pm, and Santa Claus will stop by to visit with children from 4 - 6 pm. Throughout the event, local crafters will be on the street selling some of their specialty handmade gifts that are great for the holiday season. In addition to the free carnival rides, there will be face painting and much more.
