Virtue of the Month
To begin the new school year, we focus our attention on the first of our virtues - Faith.
Faith is the great virtue of believing in God and trusting that God is with us. A faithful person believes that we are created, guided by and destined to be reunited with God. A faithful person believes that God’s plan for us includes the right to be safe, especially at school.
A Faithful person…
Prays regularly and reverently
Learns from Scripture stories
Honors people’s God-given names
Assumes that there is good in everyone
Accepts the God-given worth of themselves and others
Let us pray for the grace and strength to be people of faith, people who can truly believe that God’s plan for us includes the right to be safe at school. Amen

"Get Active" and "Stay Active" passes provide free access to community recreation centres and pools for Grade 5 and 6 students in their home city.
What are the passes?
Grade 5 students are given unlimited free access to their local authorities' recreation centres and Grade 6 are given 10 free passes to their local authorities' recreation centre activities. The aim of these passes is to keep children active as they transition to their teenage years.
How do I get one?
Go to your local recreation centre and ask for a registration form.
You will need to provide some information and documents such as proof of address and birth certificate.
You will also be asked to provide a letter from the school office identifying your child as a St. Michael's student. These letters will be made available to you at Meet the Teacher night.
STMC Alumni, Family, and Friends Ultimate Frisbee Tournament
The STMC Alumni Association warmly invites you to participate in the annual STMC Alumni, Family, and Friends Ultimate Frisbee Tournament on Saturday, October 5, 2024. This event proudly supports the Ferdie Carrion Memorial Bursary.
Ferdie was a beloved member of our community, graduating from St. Michael’s in 2004 and STM in 2009. He is also the late brother of Cory Manson and late-uncle to Liam and Callum. Ferdie embraced the sport of Ultimate in his grade 12 year and had a big presence on and off the field. His teammates and friends were the driving force in starting this tournament in 2010 after Ferdie’s tragic passing in February 2010.
Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, come join us for a day filled with fun, friendly competition, and community spirit! All skill levels are welcome, and your participation would mean so much to the STMC community and Carrion/Manson family.
Event Details:
Date & Time: Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Location: STMC Power Field
