Timely Pick Up from After School Clubs and Events
We kindly ask all parents and guardians to ensure that students participating in extracurricular clubs and athletics are picked up promptly at the designated time. Our staff is dedicated to providing enriching experiences beyond school hours, but it is important for everyone’s safety and convenience that pick-ups are timely.
Please reach out to your student's club sponsor or athletic coach if have any questions about the pick up procedures for their respective after school activity.
Hispanic Heritage Spirit Week
The DPM World Language Department invites DPM Students and Staff to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month by participating in a Spirit Week beginning October 7. All are welcome to celebrate the many different cultures we have in our Deer Path community. A big thank you to our wonderful World Language department for shining a spotlight on the contributions of all students and families from around the world.
*REPEAT* Lost and Found
Our lost and found has filled up since the start of the school year: water bottles, jackets, hoodies, lunch bags, and more! Please help us reunite items with owners by putting student names on the things they bring to school. If your student is missing anything, please tell them to check the tables in the cafeteria or the lost and found bins outside of both main offices. Thank you!

DPM APT News
DPM Families,
Starting on Monday, the 8th graders kick off their second service project and will collect toiletries for the D67, D115, Quest, and Lake Bluff co-sponsored GreatFULL Market on Sunday, October 20. The DPM 8th Grade Toiletry Drive is unique to our school. Last year the 8th graders rocked it and blew away the other schools with their contributions. Food Banks don’t often provide basics like soap, shampoo, conditioner or toothbrushes, so these essentials are vital! Let’s help make a difference! Collection bins will be on the 7/8th grade side.
DONATIONS NEEDED: Teacher Conference Dinner (10/24)
The fall Teacher Conference Dinner is around the corner! A suggested donation of $10-$20 family is appreciated. We feed 110 staff at our conference meals and like to include extra for the day & evening custodial staff!
To contribute, please Venmo Kim DeNapoli at: @Kimberly-DeNapoli
For food & drink staff conference donations visit the link below.
Kudos are in order—DPM raised 1,800 children’s books for Bernie’s Book Bank from the families at Deer Path Middle School. This is enough books to provide 225 children with a bag of books this year. Way to go!!
I hope you’ll join me on Monday night (10/7) for the last APT sponsored Community Safety series event to learn more about Internet and Crimes Against Children.
I’m in awe of how many great things are happening at DPM!
Cheers,
Kristin McCain, DPM APT President
