Principal's Message
Dear Families,
Happy New Year!
January is the final month of 1st semester. We have almost completed the first half of the year. Our students have learned so much already! We will be doing some assessments to gather information about what they have learned to help us make decisions on next steps as well as to inform what goes on their report cards. Tests can sometimes be stressful for students, please reassure them to do their best and we just what to see what they know because they know a lot!
In February, we will be teaching our Comprehensive Sexuality Education lessons. These lessons are based on the Oregon Health Education Standards. If you want to learn more about the lessons you can visit the HSD CSE website. If you would like more information about individual lessons, they are available to view in our school office. If you want to opt your child out of any of the lessons, please complete this opt form and turn it into the office. We will have hard copies of the form in the office as well.
In partnership,
Jennifer Robbins

Birthday Treats
We kindly request that parents do not send treats or snacks to school for birthday celebrations. This promotes inclusivity, healthier choices, and focused learning. Some students have dietary restrictions or allergies that prevent them from enjoying certain treats. By not having treats, we can ensure that valuable class time is not disrupted and that our students can fully engage in their lessons.

Many staff and students have health conditions (asthma, migraines ) that can be triggered by fragrances. NOT using fragrances at Ladd creates a healthier environment for everyone. Thank you!
