March Happenings!
March is a month filled with important celebrations and opportunities for reflection. It is recognized as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, a time to promote inclusion and highlight the valuable contributions of individuals with disabilities. Additionally, March is Women’s History Month, honoring the achievements and resilience of women throughout history who have shaped society in countless ways.
This month also includes Say Something Week, which encourages students to speak up when they see warning signs of violence or someone in need of help. It’s a reminder that our voices have power and that looking out for one another can make a difference. These observances provide a chance for students to learn, reflect, and take action in ways that promote kindness, awareness, and positive change.
Spring Break - Time for College Visits!

Scholarships on Naviance
Scholarship season is in full swing, and we are continuously updating our list with newly received opportunities. This process will continue through April, so students should check the site frequently for new scholarships.
To access the scholarship list, students should log into Naviance, go to the Colleges tab, and under the Scholarships & Money section, select Scholarship Search to view the HBHS scholarship list. For school-specific scholarships, they can click the corresponding link under the same section. Students interested in national scholarships (private scholarships open to students nationwide) can also find a link to explore those opportunities.
Local Springdale Scholarships
The Springdale Public Schools Education Foundation is deeply committed to providing Springdale Graduates with financial assistance to further their educational experiences beyond high school. The individual scholarships are funded by the generous contributions of Springdale patrons who have a passion for helping graduates realize their dreams. SPSEF manages more than $2,000,000 of endowed scholarship money in the funds on this page.
Traditional scholarships have been created to support students who are seeking post-secondary education at a two-year or four-year college or university.

- Help someone who may need assistance
- Say “hello” to brighten someone’s day

- Invite others into your group or conversation
- Say “thank you” to show appreciation
