Volunteers Needed: The Winter Jam Tour is coming to Kansas City, MO!

Hi, my name is Jess and I am a volunteer coordinator for The Winter Jam Tour coming to Kansas City, MO on January 17th! We are in need of volunteers for this event and I wanted to reach out and see if you would be interested in sending a group to this! The volunteers will get in for free and get to enjoy the show. They would be handing out packets to anyone interested in sponsoring a child during intermission and after the show. This can also count towards community service hours if needed. I can also speak with you over the phone about this if you would like more information. Please let me know if you are interested in this opportunity and would like to sign up a group!

January 1 - Regular Decision - some college/universities (usually private or selective schools) have a Regular Decision deadline where students find out admissions decisions by April 1.

Available during lunch shifts in the Great Hall. (11:15pm - 1:15pm)

Army - 1st Tuesday of the month

Army National Guard - 2nd Tuesday of the month

Coast Guard - Dec 13

Marines - 3rd Monday of the month

Missouri Air National Guard - 3rd Tuesday of the month

Navy - 2nd Wednesday of the month

If you were unable to attend the Financial Aid Meeting hosted by Maple Woods Community College during Parent Teacher Conferences, you may click on the file below to view the presentation.

Most college applications and scholarship applications will want you to have at least two or three recommendation letters from people who know you in and out of the classroom. Brainstorm a list of people who would be good choices to ask for letters of recommendation.

When asking adults to write a letter of recommendation for you, you may want to fill out this Letter of Recommendation Request Form and give it to the professional along with your resume. You need to give this to the adult at least 2 weeks in advance.

IMPORTANT: Parents and Seniors need to double-check the spelling of your first, middle and last name as it appears in Powerschool. This is exactly how your name will be printed on your diploma.
