CMEA Weekly

SCRIPS is a great (and easy!) way to show how much you appreciate the teachers and staff who make Copper Mesa a great place for your child and have a direct impact on the local community.

Through SCRIPS, you can contribute funds toward gift cards that are then given to teachers and staff, along with all the contributions from other families.

We also have the privilege of sponsoring 8 LOCAL families (with a combined total of 14 kids) as a part of our SCRIPS program. You can send monetary gifts for the families through the same link as the teachers/staff.

How to use SCRIPS:

1) First, complete the Google form below by filling out who you would like to make donations to (in increments of $5). Determine your total donation amount and type it in at the bottom of the form. The total donation amount includes donations for the sponsored, as well. Be sure to submit the Google form when you're done.

2) Make the payment on MySchoolBucks.

• Use this MySchoolBucks SCRIPS Link.

• Input the total donation amount from the Google form.

• Follow the normal checkout process.

Thanks to your incredible fundraising efforts, CMEA was able to cover the costs of a CME staff-recommended event: an interactive STEAM assembly!

Basically, it will be like our gym has been transformed into a state-of-the-art, hands-on children’s museum focused on STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). Students will take turns exploring stations that include robots, virtual reality, 3D printing, art, engineering, and more!

Spring Fundraiser planning is underway, and we need your help! We are looking for donations of auction items, such as sporting tickets (Broncos, Rockies, Rapids, etc.), VRBO rentals, etc. If your family has a connection, or you know of a local business owner that may have a connection, and would be interested in a tax-deductible donation to CME, please let us know! Are you planning classroom holiday parties? Need it to be easy? MyClassroomParty has a winter party box geared for grades K-2nd, and it comes with everything you would need!

Please share your fun CME moments with our Copper Mesa Yearbook Committee at coppermesayearbook@gmail.com to help us create the most memorable yearbook. We would love to see photos from Donuts and Grownups, Spirit Rocks, Field Trips, Class Parties, Watch D.O.G.S., or anything else you've captured. Be sure to include your student’s grade and teacher with each submission.

Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that gives dads the opportunity to spend either a half or whole day in the building with their children. You will help in classrooms and go to lunch and recess with your child.

The purpose of the program:

1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is essential.
2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. All dads are encouraged to be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad at least once a year.

COPPER MESA YEARBOOK

Help us create a memorable yearbook by sharing your pictures with our yearbook committee. This can be at school events, the Spirit Rock, class parties, class field trips, school clubs, etc. Please email photos to coppermesayearbook@gmail.com and include your child’s name and teacher.

KING SOOPERS CARDS

One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year, our total donation received is typically in excess of $15,000. If you haven’t registered your rewards number (phone number) yet, please do so. It’s quick and easy and a great way to earn funds for our school. This money helps us to pay for teacher and school grants and host some of our events.

1. Visit kingsooperscommunityrewards.com.
2. Sign in or register with your King Soopers card or phone number.
3. Click on Enroll.
4. Search by school code (AB638) or organization name (Copper Mesa Elementary School - CMEA).

RENT THE ROCK!

Don’t forget to reserve the Spirit Rock for your special dates! Sign up HERE for the date you need and submit payment through MySchoolBucks or drop off cash/checks at the front office.

**Please remember: Reservations do not begin until 4:00 pm the day prior to your reservation. Rock painting should not begin prior to 4:00 p.m. We appreciate your cooperation.**

MILK CAPS FOR MOOLA

We are collecting Longmont Dairy Milk Caps again this year. There is a box near the front office desk where you can deposit them. Thank you!

Customizable Spirit Wear is always available at Schmancy Tees and Gifts. Orders take about two weeks and are delivered right to your child’s classroom.
