We held our annual senior walk on Wednesday! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see what amazing things you do!

Ms. Amy Hart (2nd grade) and Mrs. Barb Hultgren (occupational therapist) are retiring this year, both after having served over 20 years in education. We thank them for their commitment to Edmondson and to public education and wish them the very best in retirement!

Mrs. Lisa Kunz (Faculty Assistant), Mr. Erik Hagan (kindergarten), Ms. Robyn Davies (1st grade), Ms. Tori Friesen (4th grade), Mrs. Ashley Reuter (instructional coach), Mrs. Robin Keen (library media specialist), and Mrs. Modlich (SEL specialist) will be leaving Edmondson for other opportunities in education. We thank each of these staff for their good work with students and families and wish them the very best on their new endeavors!

With these changes taking place there will be some updates in classroom teaching assignments, which are shown below:

We are in the process of hiring for the open positions and those positions will be shared in the August newsletter.

Students were challenged to build water slides for our final STEM Challenge! They had to design a slide that had a way to climb the structure, hold water down the slide, and make sure riders were safe in the process. Great job, Stallions!

Ms. Davies class raised money and food donations for the Noco Humane Society. What a great way to end the school year!!

A fun-filled 3 weeks every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday!

We're looking for students to invite that may benefit from some early relationship building with our 6th grade team and out Lucille Erwin Middle School community/culture! They'll get a head start on some important middle school academics and we believe these students will be our potential community builders and leaders in 6th grade.

The Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer Program (S-EBT) is starting this summer 2024! Summer EBT helps families buy food during the summer months. If you qualify, your family will receive $40 per child/per month to purchase groceries with funds placed on and EBT card. This amounts up to $120 per child.

You are eligible if your school aged children participate in : SNAP, TANF, or Medicaid OR if your child qualifies for free or reduced lunches based on income.

Why should I apply for meal benefits?

Even though we're far into the spring semester, you are still able to submit a free and reduced meal application for your students if you have not already! Yes, meals are free for all students this year. BUT, a huge benefit to applying and being improved for free and reduced meals is the chance to have fees waived for your students.

Another benefit to applying and being approved, is being eligible for Summer EBT as explained above. For more information on how to submit a meal benefits application, please call 970-613-5146.

Please follow the link below and complete the Annual Family Check-In for the 24-25 school year. This is a very important step for the next school year. It gives you a chance to update any of you or your student's information such as address, phone numbers, and emergency contacts. It also completes your students registration for the 24-25 school year. Thank you!

Are you interested in your child being ready for kindergarten? The Thompson School District's Integrated Early Childhood Program provides quality preschool experiences for three and four year olds at 15 different sites around the Loveland and Berthoud area. If your child will be 3 or 4 years old by October 1, 2024, your child may be eligible to participate in the Thompson School District's Early Childhood Program. We ask all interested families to complete our Preschool Interest Form available on our preschool website. If you have any questions about our program, please call 970-613-5052.

Please remember that you cannot make a u-turn in front of the school at ANYTIME. This is very dangerous for families crossing at the crosswalk. Also, Please do not drop off or pick up your students in front of the staff parking out front. This is not a safe spot. Please park in the lot or on the street and have your student walk to the crosswalk.

Fees for your student are due by the end of October. You pay through your parent portal account. You can also download the app which is very helpful! Here are the instructions on how to pay:

Larimer County Fire Departments have asked us to share this information. This emergency alert will alert those who sign up for it with emergency notifications from Larimer county. Please text NOCOALERT to 888777.

If your student is tardy or late an adult will need to escort them to the front doors and ring the bell. One of our front office staff will let the student into the building and will check them in.

In order to check out your student you will need to show a valid photo ID. Students will NOT be released to anyone who does not produce an ID. The person must also be listed as a parent/guardian OR as an emergency contact in our system. Students will not be released to an unauthorized adult.

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR TEH 23-24 SCHOOL YEAR!

In order to volunteer at Edmondson you must register with Thompson School District. Once you register as a volunteer your registration is valid for 3 years. After that time period you must reapply. If you are unsure of your volunteer status please contact the main office. Follow the link below to become a TSD volunteer!

At the beginning of the school year you will receive an email from your student's teacher inviting you to join their classroom on Class Dojo. This is a great tool to communicate with teachers and school staff. It is also a great way to stay updated on events taking place here at Edmondson.
