Eagle's View
April 25, 2024, Vol. 5, Issue No. 32
From the Principal:
Dear Parents and Families,
No doubt you’ve heard by now the great news that our SEAS the Night fundraiser was a smashing success! While we’re still waiting for the final figures to come in, our rough estimates have us exceeding our projections! This has been a tremendous experience, serving to affirm the great work that is happening on our campus each and every day. We can proudly say that not only did we bring SEAS the Night back from its five-year hiatus, we did so in a way that heralded in a new era for our school while truly honoring the spirit and tradition of our great parish school community!
I’d like to express a special thanks to our planning committee: SEAS parents Laura Armeni-Kneesel, Caron Benner, Olivia Macias and Eagle Flight Support Chair, Rosalyn Navarra. Their leadership and guidance of this effort was excellent from the start, and I’m so happy to have them as a part of our team. In addition, I’d be remiss not to mention the contributions of SEAS parents Hillary Byrne, who helped with our event program, Sally Calloway (who is also a SEAS Faculty member), who put together our student video, Antoinette Cisneros, who assisted with our evening’s décor, Marian Russ, who also assisted with the program and helped manage our bottom line, and Libby Wilcox along with Hannah Lopez (SEAS Art Teacher), who helped coordinate our student art projects. Thank you for the gifts that you’ve brought to our community and to our event! Last, a special and heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed their time, talent, and/or financial support to SEAS the Night. Know that you are appreciated, and we are a better community because you’re a part of who we are and what we do.
We have another great community fundraiser just around the corner as well! Our Healthy Kids Fun Run (formerly the APEX Fun Run), will kick off with a student assembly on April 29. We are looking to raise funds for some additional safety and security enhancements around out campus, so please help by making a pledge, and spreading the word about the pledge program to everyone you can! Emails are being sent to families to help explain the effort, and we will cap the festivities off with our Fun Run event on May 10! Stay tuned for more information and thanks in advance for all of your help and support!
Well, as you can see, we have a lot happening on our campus and a lot to be grateful for as well. Thanks for all you do to support the mission of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic School, and Catholic Education in the Archdiocese of Las Vegas. As always, I’ll look forward to seeing you around campus soon!
In Christ,
Len Urso, Principal
