Colonial Park Weekly News
November 12 - 15
Principal's Note
Dear Colonial Park Families -
Thank you so much for your support of our candy donations for Boston's homeless. It was a tremendous success! We are still participating in Socks for Seniors, a food drive for our veterans and Coats for Kids, and we are so appreciative of the generosity of our Colonial Park community.
Once again, we are coordinating a Giving Tree Program for families who are unable to buy gifts this holiday season. Attached please find the letter that was emailed earlier in the week describing how you can request items for your child or children if your family could use some extra support. The information is completely confidential, and only Ms. Faughnan and I have access to the families who participate.
First term report cards and progress reports will be sent home on Monday, December 2. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, December 4, from 4:00 to 7:00pm, and on Thursday, December 5, from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Sign-ups will be shared by teachers on Monday, November 25, so you are able to select a convenient time for your conference. There will be both a virtual and an in-person option available.
Just a reminder, Friday, November 15 will be an Early Release Day for all Stoneham Public School students. Our preschool friends will be dismissed at 11:40, and students in grades K-4 will be dismissed at 12:00. There will be no school on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 in celebration of Thanksgiving.
Thank you to all our veterans who have served in the armed forces. We are grateful for your service and your sacrifices.
Best,
Rosa Flynn
