Message from Principal Phillips
Hello WRJH Families!
We are having a great year so far and your students are doing an amazing job in their academics, behaviors, and taking advantage of the opportunities we have. I hear weekly from our staff great stories about students doing better than expected on an assignment, being respectful, and helping other students. We are halfway through the second quarter and the end of the quarter will be here before we know it. I know how busy this time of year is for everyone and I encourage you to use this as an opportunity to work with your students on time management and planning ahead so they do not fall behind. If you have not, please check PowerSchool and make sure your students are performing at the level that you expect. This is one of the harder times of the year for students to fall behind and struggle to get caught back up, but if we can work with them to not fall behind they will be in a more successful place.
This is also a tough time of year for a lot of people that struggle with different emotions, including recent loss or big changes and our students are not immune to this. If you see any signs that your student is struggling, please reach out to us. We have one of the best social workers in central Ohio, as well as an amazing team that can check in with them and work to support them.
I hope everyone has a great holiday season and as always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns that I can help with.
Thank you
Jason Phillips

Parents, we are working hard to keep our building safe and a place where students are learning and progressing each day. We can not complete our goals without our team mates (YOU) . Please talk with your students regarding the following concerns:
Please keep hands, feet, and items to themselves even when playing around with friends (it often leads to something serious).
Chromebooks need to be brought to school everyday.
Cell Phones and headphones/airpods put away in their backpacks.
Students need to come to school everyday when not sick, going to a doctor’s visit, or when there is not an emergency.
Students are to follow all bus rules and regulations to and from school.
Threats will be taken seriously whether playing or not.
When it is time to leave the building, they have to wait in their classrooms until their bus is called or until all students are released. Once released they are not to re-enter the building unless given permission by a staff member to do so.
Students are here for a purpose, to receive a quality education, in order for that to take place students need to be present in the classroom, arriving on time, paying attention and completing all assignments.
Your help and partnership with these concerns are greatly appreciated. As always we hope you continue to be a team with us because we really are a force together!
Happy Holidays Family !
Yours in Education,
Ebony Woodard
