St Teresa's School Newsletter
Friday 3rd November
Kumusta,
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming kindness shown to me on Tumeke Tumuaki Principal's Day. The cards, gifts and yummy treats I received were both touching and appreciated, and they serve as a reminder of how privileged I am to be part of this amazing school community!
Last week we celebrated National Teachers Day, I want to take this opportunity to express my admiration and appreciation for our dedicated and passionate teaching staff. Thank you for constantly going above and beyond for our tamariki!
I have some exciting news to share, I am delighted to inform you that the new junior playground is currently in production and set to be installed at the beginning of 2024. We owe a debt of gratitude to the FOSTA team for their monumental fundraising effort, along with thanks for generous grants from the Eastern & Central Community Trust and Trust House. This playground promises to be a place of joy, learning, and imagination, providing our younger students with a fantastic outdoor space to explore and enjoy.
In other property news, we have the green light from the Archdiocese to carry out further upgrades to our school buildings. We have a whole school lighting upgrade to LEDs, recladding of the reception block and new sinks in the quad. Works will start soon and we are assured this will not impact the children's learning spaces during the school day.
As we approach the week ahead, I want to wish all our students attending the retreat next week a happy and enriching experience. These opportunities for personal growth and camaraderie are invaluable, and I am certain that you will return with memories to cherish. We are looking forward to you growing as the intermediate leaders of our school in 2024.
I hope to see you at our working bee tomorrow from 10 am.
Mā te Atua koe e manaaki, e tiaki hoki. May God bless and care for you.
Lindsey Dailly,
Tumuaki
