Can you believe it's already Week 4 of the school year? As I reflect on the past few weeks, I can't help but feel incredibly proud of the greatness we've shared and the strides we've made in creating a positive learning environment for our students.

This week marks the beginning of the year assessments, a crucial moment in our journey. It's a time for reflection and planning, an opportunity to see the progress our students have made so far.

🌟 Highlights from the Week

Ms. Smith: I love seeing you greet your students at the door every single morning. You brighten their day with your kindness!

Ms. Lavat: Thank you for your patience and gentle approach in the classroom. The students move about the classroom and know the expectations set by you and their work plan.

Upper (4-5 Team): Thank you for positivity and support in creating work plans as a team! You have been solid, committed, and supportive of one another throughout this year. Thank you for your flexibility!!!

Ms. Nguyen: You have been shining like a ROCKSTAR! Middle school and I are thankful for the many hats you wear and the leadership you bring to the team.

The new Texas Assessment Family Portal was launched on January 2, 2023, and is available for parents to view test scores for the Texas Assessment Program. The portal can be accessed via the Texas Assessment.gov website, https://www.TXFamilyPortal.org, or the easiest way by using the single sign-on feature in PowerSchool at www.dallasisd.powerschool.com/public

House Bill 114 will become effective Sept. 1, 2023:

Any student caught with a vape device on campus, within 300 feet of school property, or at a school-sponsored event, must be placed in DAEP.
