Financial Aid Applications due April 30th!
We have some great news to share!
The Middle States Visiting Team is recommending that our school be considered for accreditation. We did not have any doubt this would happen, but it is nice to know all the work our faculty, staff, and community have been doing is being noticed. What this means for our school is that our improvement plans are sound and that we have a vision for the future.
Last year, we installed a new boiler. After the installation, the heating system was not quite as effective as it could be. With the help of a grant, we were able to complete all the necessary system repairs and replace all the valves and thermostats. This work was completed this week. We have heat where we want heat and can adjust heat where we do not.
Speaking of heat?
Monday the temperature is predicted to be 80 degrees. So, we are beginning our summer uniform on Monday. But, note that later in the week the temperatures will be more seasonable.
To review the summer uniform includes:
School red or gray polo shirt.
Solid navy blue Bermuda; mid- thigh to knee length solid navy blue twill walking shorts. (For girls, they may wear the solid navy blue skort. Must be mid-thigh to knee length.)
Solid blue, black, or navy dress shoes or white, black, or navy sneakers.
No sandals, Crocs, or open toe shoes are permitted. Sturdy footwear is required per the safety policy.
Regular uniform (pants, jumper, skirt) is also an option during this time.
For PE:
School logo gray t-shirt.
Solid navy blue mesh shorts.
Must be mid-thigh to knee length.
Following the uniform policy begins at home. Please help us by ensuring students are coming to school with the appropriate uniform and footwear. Students not in uniform will have a phone call home to have appropriate uniform item brought to school. We have a few shorts and skorts in our uniform exchange. You can stop in anytime this week to look through what we have.
This weekend's Take My Family to Mass has been cancelled.

Kindness Calendars
What is a kindness calendar?
A calendar with different dollar amounts for each day. Each day has a goal for our school or an activity the students will perform in June. This is our last fundraiser of the school year!
Here's how it works:
· Ask family, friends, neighbors, etc. to sponsor a day on your “calendar”.
· Write their name on the chart next to the day they are donating to.
· Place the money in the envelope.
· Return the envelope on or before June 1st.
· We will act on the kindness activities throughout the month of June.
· Students who have sponsors for days such as “get me an out of uniform slip” or “buy my classmates and I lunch” will receive these treats on different days in June.
Last year we raised $3,700. With that money we were able to:
- Make snack bags with encouraging messages for our local law enforcement, fire department, and EMTs.
-Purchase the new desks and chairs in 3rd grade.
-Purchase the button rug in PreK.
-Buy additional cereal for the Center of Concern which we made into a domino run.
-Purchase some dog and cat food for the animal shelter.
-Purchase the food for the hot dog, hamburger, and cheeseburger lunch on field day.
-Buy flowers to place on the side altar next to the tabernacle.
This year, we hope we can do more with the donations given.
This Summer!
Scholarships still available. Contact Melissa.parmele@dor.org for more info.
Third Grade Learns about Penguins on World Penguin Day
Our students were surprised to learn that there are so many species and the little things we can do to help penguins.
They learned how to use The International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species to research each animal's conversation status.
It was interesting and eye opening!
