Hello Norris Lions!

Happy first week back to school! We had the best week kicking off the 24-25 school year with your students, and with your families! Our teachers have worked so hard to prepare, and it was so great to see all of our students back in the hallways and reconnecting.

Our theme this year is "Teach Them, Love them, Watch Them Grow!" As educators we are driven by the growth of our students, and are dedicated to helping each student at Norris grow into the best version of themselves! Your partnership is essential in helping that growth happen throughout the school year!

Thank you to all who attended Open House this week, and our Dairy Queen night fundraiser! We appreciate all that you do as parents to support our community, and your child's success at school. Next week we will dive into learning and begin gathering data in Reading and Math with MAP testing. It's going to be a great first full week!

Each week, all students at Norris will have a lesson practicing a social skill. These weekly lessons are called our ROAR Skills of the Week! ROAR skills are practiced in the classroom during a Morning Meeting. All staff members are on the lookout through the week for students to be practicing the weekly skill. Students who demonstrate the skill of the week may earn a ROAR ticket and be entered into a weekly grade level drawing.

A local business from Omaha called Kindness Destroys Hate will be joining us during our sip and shop to give away backpacks and supplies for the school year!

This is something the owner, Marlon, does yearly and we at T&T are happy to host him this year during his giveaway! There will be a separate area with the supplies as well as his merchandise for sale.

No entry needed, limited quantities, first come first serve.

Picnic begins at 5:00 with PTO meeting to follow in the library at 6:00PM.

The Millard South Dance Team is hosting our 4th annual dance clinic on Saturday, September 14th!
