Panther Press of Wild Rose

A magnificent start to this week honoring veterans on Veterans Day! To begin our celebration, big thank you to our PTO, Mrs. Blossfield and Mrs. Kozey for their extra time to prepare all of the food and decorations, along with Mrs. William for helping the morning of the breakfast. Our 5th grade students did a wonderful job playing both their orchestra and band instruments. A couple of our students also read about a veteran and a poem to our veterans that were able to attend the breakfast in the morning. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to show a little appreciation for our service men and women. Thank you to so many that helped make the event a success - The PTO, 5th Grade Teachers, Band and Orchestra Staff and the 5th Grade students.

Our students also attended an assembly in the afternoon to honor and learn about Veterans. Our 5th grade students sang, our 5th grade band and orchestra students played, our Boy Scouts presented the flags and a number of 5th grade students shared about veterans in their families. The students did a wonderful job! Thank you to all of our veterans for your service.

Also some welcomed additions to the Wild Rose Playground. Two of our adjustable basketball hoops, purchased with funds raised from the Glow Dance Party, are up and students are enjoying playing with them. Thank you to our PTO for purchasing them and for our D303 facilities team getting them up and available for usage. We have also recieved two beautiful picnic tables that can seat 10 to 12 students at a time. These will be available on our playground in the coming weeks for students to enjoy. Another purchase funded from our community fundraiser. Thank you to our PTO for funding these beautiful and welcomed additions to the Wild Rose playground.

District 303 is proud to partner with the Glenbard Parent Series (GPS) to offer our families broader access to information sessions and resources that support their child’s development.

For decades, GPS has been offering free programs that aim to empower and strengthen families, individuals and communities. As a partner organization, District 303 will support promoting upcoming programs and their importance to our local community.
