Hola Tigres!
Dear Families,
This week was a fun and exciting time as we celebrated Rock Your School Week! On Friday, we had a live band playing for our students, and we are grateful for the PRHS students who came to brighten our morning and rock our day. It was wonderful to see our students dancing and singing together!
ALICE Student Training
While the probability of an active shooter on one of our campuses is very low, we believe it is important to train our staff and students to respond in the event they encounter a violent incident. PRJUSD has adopted the ALICE program to provide options if there is an active shooter on our campuses.
Active shooter training provides students and staff with effective response options in the event of an active shooter situation. No single response fits all active shooter situations. However, making sure each individual knows his or her options for response and is prepared to react decisively can save valuable time and help minimize the loss of life. ALICE training is also grade level appropriate.
We will be providing ALICE training to our students the week of October 7th-October 11th. Your child's teacher will provide the date she/he will conduct the training in their class. You can find more information at: https://www.alicetraining.com/. We also encourage you to speak with your student regarding the importance of this valuable information.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
