Library Item Return Deadlines
Spartan Families,
As we are nearing the end of the school year and completing our library and technology inventory, we need our Spartans to return library books by May 10, 2024. If your Spartan has lost/misplaced their library book, please have them come and talk to the library staff.
In addition, if your student has a chrome book & charger checked out from the library, they must return it by Friday, May 17, 2024 as we are preparing for our 1 to 1 rollout for next school year 24-25.

Physical/Hard Copy Government-Issued Identifications
As Katy ISD continues its review of safety practices and protocols, it's essential to stress the significance of physical/hard copy government-issued identifications for accessing campuses/facilities, student registration, and student pickup.
The district is strictly enforcing this requirement and will no longer accept paper or digital copies of driver's licenses, visas, and passports at any of its campuses or facilities, for these purposes.
Katy ISD greatly appreciates the community's cooperation with these safety procedures and the ongoing partnership to maintain safe and secure environments across campuses.
Are you moving this summer?
If you are moving over the summer and will no longer reside in the Seven Lakes Junior High attendance zone, please complete the Katy ISD Leaver Form linked below.
Please return the completed form along with the parent/guardian’s photo ID to:

New Katy ISD COVID Policy Update
At this time, DSHS has updated the Texas school exclusion criteria to align the requirement for COVID-19 with those for other respiratory viruses like the flu. Please see the link below for updated school exclusion policy for COVID-19 from DSHS:
At this time, once your child has been fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications, they are able to return to school. If your child has a fever or is not feeling well but does not have a fever and you would like them to stay home, please report (or continue to report) their absence(s) online on the SLJH website. If you have a doctor's note excusing school day absences, please email that paperwork to jenniferrhill@katyisd.org to be used to excuse their absences.
Clinic Reminders from Nurse Jenkins
Please submit all absences on the SLJH website daily. Please note that a doctor's note does not overrule the Katy ISD 24-hour rule for fevers, vomiting, and diarrhea. Doctor's notes may be sent to JenniferRHill@katyisd.org to excuse absences. Please still report the absence online. Covid is no longer a 5-day quarantine per DSHS. Students may now return to school once 24 hours fever free without the use of fever reducing medications.
Medications: Students are not allowed to carry medication at school. Cough drops are considered medication and may not be carried at school. Peppermints are a good substitute for cough drops if your student needs something to help during the school day. Please email or call the clinic if you have any medication administration questions. Please do not send medication with your child to drop off in the clinic without contacting the clinic first. There is paperwork required for all medications kept in the clinic that will need to be done first. If your child forgot to take their medication at home, PARENTS (only) are able to medicate their child in the front office during the school day. Please bring a valid photo ID and water if needed to do so.
Parents of Junior High Girls:
Please help your daughter keep her backpack fully stocked with monthly supplies and also consider adding an extra pair of leggings/underwear to her backpack in case of an accident while at school. We are limited on what supplies we have to offer in these situations.
6th Grade Parents:
Eleven-Year-Old Immunizations are Now Due!!!
Please turn in a copy of your child's eleven-year-old immunizations (TDAP and Meningitis) to JenniferAJenkins@katyisd.org to clear your child's TDAP and Meningitis immunization requirements. These immunizations are due before 7th grade and need to be turned in as soon as possible before the last day of school. Your child's new 7th grade schedule will be held until all immunizations have been turned in and cleared by the clinic. These are the last state required immunizations that must be turned into Katy ISD. If you need a place for your child to receive these immunizations, please see the Katy ISD Immunization Clinic dates below. There is only one more date in May. Notifications have been sent by email and in backpacks to parents of students still needing these immunizations.
