- We will be participating in celebrating Veteran's Day. Be on the lookout for more information to come.
- All water bottles need to have a closing lid and only contain water
- We will be enforcing the dress code in the handbook. Please review the guidelines.
Red Ribbon Week
Lexia at Home
EEI Positive Reward System
Each quarter, students can earn a school wide reward for positive behavior, attendance, participation in Lexia/Zearn, and good grades.
Students were introduced to the rewards system during the first week of school and are able to track their progress during biweekly student conferencing with homeroom teachers.
Attendance Matters!
Notice from athletic department
Expectations for all Sheridan students at athletic events:
1. All students should remain in the stadium/arena upon arrival. No re-entry to the event once the venue is exited.
2. All students should remain in supervised areas. No exiting to the practice football field or hallways.
3. All students should remain in the stands, clearing walkways and stairs at all times
4. No one in grades lower than 5th should be at an athletic event without adult supervision from a parent, guardian, or family friend.
Traffic Flow
- We close the gate at 9:30 a.m. and do not open it until 2:15 p.m. We do have an alarm set and will open it as soon as possible. This is a safety measure for our students.
- Leave space for buses to exit the pull through and stop far enough back (behind the mailbox on the right) so bus drivers can exit onto Sawmill
- In the morning, you will not be able to turn left onto Sawmill from 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
- Have your tag available and in full view so we can keep the line moving

Immunization Reminder
Letters have been sent home for students that are missing immunizations. These immunizations should be obtained by October 1st. Jacket Health and Wellness can provide these for students if needed by appointments only. On the letter there is a QR code that takes you to the website to make an appointment and fill out the enrollment paperwork. Please let me know if you have any questions.
OTC Medications
SSD policy states that over-the-counter medications (Tylenol, ibuprofen, Benadryl, etc.) cannot be given at school without a doctor's order. See page 165 of the student handbook. If you need the form sent home with your child, please let me know and I can provide it. As a reminder, students cannot carry medication on their person. All medications must be given to the nurse or administration by an adult.
