Thank you Leadership for hosting our hot chocolate fundraiser yesterday! There was a huge turnout and it helped raise funds for fun activities for students on camps!

Next week is Spirit Week at Herbert Green. We made these easy themes for each day that everyone can participate in. We will wrap up the week with "Anything but a Backpack Day," which is always a student favorite! Just please remember that containers can not be glass, need to be something students can easily carry or pull around all day, and if a student rides the bus, it needs to be something that will fit comfortably on their lap. Have fun!

Mrs. Owen's class got to be 5th grade environmental engineers and tried to find the easiest, and most effective way, to clean up oil spills!

It is that time of year and the Oral Interpretation Event is right around the corner. This year the event will be held on March 26th. Oral Interpretation is an event where students recite and perform a poem in front of a small audience. The event is a way for students to express themselves and their interpretation of a written work. Please have your student come to room 23 Jan. 29th during 5th /6th grade lunch if they are interested in participating. Students don’t need a poem, we can figure that out after the meeting!
