This month in history

On Saturday November 1st, 1969: The newly restored Sinking Creek Baptist Church (the oldest Baptist Church in Tennessee) is dedicated and re-opened for worship services. After an earlier remodeling, a steeple had been added to the middle of the original roof, which was removed so the building could be restored to its original aesthetic. Each log was removed and numbered and rebuilt in its exact initial location.
