Principal's Weekly Update #14

Hello Wales Families,

November flew by and December will be busy month full of fun activities. Please see the bottom of the this message for December calendar of events.

Reminder: Our 3rd grade student council is collecting hats, mittens and socks for our giving tree. These items will be donated to a local organization. We are accepting donations now through 12/20.

Updates from the PTO:

The PTO will not be having Merry Moose shopping this year. Instead, they will be helping the kids put together a personalized gift to bring home on Dec. 11th and 12th. This gift is for the kids to share with their family so no peeking! Please make sure to check your child's backpack on these days and keep the gift away from pets/smaller siblings

Each year, the PTO raffles off front-row seats (4 seats per winner) and one reserved parking spot for the Sing-a-long. Each time a parent/guardian or volunteer attends a PTO meeting, their name goes into the drawing. Congratulations to the winners and thank you for all your help! This year's winners are:

9:30 Show: Jen Ronan and Amanda Przespowski won 4 front row seats each. Mary Chambers won the parking spot.

1:30 Show: Sarah Rydzynski and Michele Stover won 4 front row seats each. Julie Stoll won the parking spot.

It's been an exciting week with our first snow fall and snow day. Please watch for a separate message explaining the rescheduling of our parent teacher conferences that were missed due to the unexpected snow event on Thursday.

The Red Hawks’ Nest Project aims to build a new pavilion and enhance the Intermediate School recess area on our main campus.

Play spaces at the Primary Schools have been possible due to our generous community. Securing an adequate outdoor play space for the Intermediate School 4th and 5th grade students will require that same community support.

This is a reminder that when your child is absent or tardy, legally we must have a note with a reason, upon the child's return to school. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
