A Note from Mrs. Solomon

We had our launch to townhall this week! Our book of the year is The Sound of Kindness, by Amy Ludwig Vanderwater. Thank you to Kendall's Kindness for our t-shirts! The sea of blue was just beautiful and we are ready to continue to spread kindness throughout our year! Our students were smiling ear to ear after they met with their town hall group.

Next week is very busy here at Wild Rose.... The book fair begins on Monday and goes through Thursday. Our Scarecrow event is on Thursday evening and is sure to be a lot of fun! If there is inclimate weather we will bring the fun inside. Please be sure to sign-up and volunteer if you are able.

The St. Charles North Marching band will be doing a short performance for us next week during the school day.

There is no school next Friday, October 20th due to teacher institute. That's all for now! Have a wonderful weekend!

Big Hearts of Fox Valley

For the 10th year in a row, D303 is again partnering with Big Hearts of Fox Valley, which supports families in need during the holiday season. Big Hearts of Fox Valley Holiday Giving Program's purpose is to provide holiday gifts for D303 students and their younger siblings whose families face significant financial hardship. Through Big Hearts, members of the D303 community anonymously shop for wish list items. D303 social workers will review applicants. If you are struggling and facing significant financial hardship and would like assistance providing holiday gifts to your children, click here. If you would like to help Big Hearts by "adopting" a child this Holiday season, click here. You can visit the Big Hearts of Fox Valley website for more information.
