Teacher of the Month
LTMS congratulates Mr. Peters, our 7th grade social studies teacher for being nominated as Teacher of the Month for November. He was described by his students as keen, funny, enthusiastic and generous! Mr. Peters reminds our students, "Without dignity, identity is erased. PBIS
LTMS maintains the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (P.B.I.S.) program to further support our character education programs. We continue to highlight and celebrate positive behavior through our reward systems. PBIS also supplies students with skills to handle potentially negative situations and think about the best course of action.
A school-wide behavioral approach incorporates everyone. Students are able to see that we all support them and equally contribute to our school’s success and safety. Our students, along with staff, have designed expectation grids for specific locations throughout our campus.
During the month of December, we will review our behavioral expectations daily. Each week will focus on a different pillar (respectful, responsible, kind and courageous) with basket raffles to conclude each week for students earning 5+ points in the respective pillar.
We need your help to make our efforts go even further! You can help us by making a donation to our school store. Your donation ($, small pre-packaged treats or candy, age appropriate toys and gift cards) will go toward our students to support their positive behavior. Donations can be dropped off in the main office. Please label donations "PBIS Student Store".
Thank you for your continued support and contributions!
