As we approach the end of the year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the challenges and growth we’ve experienced together. December can be a busy and sometimes stressful time, so we’re here to offer support and resources (below) to help you finish the year strong and start the new year with a fresh perspective.

Junior Student & LC Information Session

On November 20th from 12-12:30pm, School Counselors held a Junior Planning Information Session for all juniors and their LC's. All students have access to the recording on their class connect pages. Listed below are some links discussed in the meeting.

In case you missed it!!!

UW HELP is becoming Go Wisconsin! This new name better aligns with our mission to support students in preparing for and applying to the Universities of Wisconsin. Although our name is changing, our commitment to guiding prospective students and their families through the application, preparation, and exploration processes remains unchanged. We will continue to offer presentations, fall workshops, and personalized student support.

In the coming months, you can expect changes to the current UW HELP website and other communication channels. Please note, our new email is contact@go.wisconsin.edu.

MYMAJORS TOOL

For students who are interested in attending a UW university and are unsure of what they want to major in, we have a great new resource to assist in their exploration called MyMajors!

Students are encouraged to complete a free 15-minute MyMajors assessment. They will receive a customized list of majors at UW universities that align with their aptitudes, interests, and personality. Students can also learn more about these majors as well as explore possible career pathways.
Hopefully this resource can help prospective students further focus their academic and career plans and find their fit in the Universities of Wisconsin. Check it out today! wisconsin.mymajors.com

2025-2026 FAFSA (SENIORS)

The 2025–26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form will be available on or before December 1, 2024.

COLLEGE GOAL WISCONSIN:

College Goal Wisconsin provides free information and assistance to families completing the FAFSA. College Goal Wisconsin is offering both in-person and virtual FAFSA Completion Events starting in January 2025.

ACT TEST PREP SESSIONS FOR JUNIORS

ACT Prep Sessions have begun lat October for Juniors and it's not too late to join to get prepared for the upcoming ACT in March. Please see the schedule for the remainder of dates. They will all be held during Monday homeroom times from 12:35-1:05pm. All Junior Students have been invited as optional in their class connect schedules.
