BBES Partnership with Loudoun Hunger Relief (LHR)
Thank you for partnering with the BBES PTA to support those in our community in need of food by transporting donatable food recovered in the cafeteria to Loudoun Hunger Relief (LHR), a food pantry in our community. This school year our goal is to increase our student body's understanding of donatable food, hunger in our community, and the impact of food waste through the Morning Show and providing information to teachers for potential use in the classroom. We will be tracking our weekly LHR donations and using this data as a way of educating and reinforcing our students doing good work by donating food that would otherwise be trashed. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0848AAAA2CAAFDC25-50040080-loudoun#/
LCPS LEAF Representative Needed
We’re still looking for a volunteer to serve as our LEAF (Leadership, Education, and Advocacy for Families) representative this year. The LEAF representative helps support our school community by providing leadership, sharing educational resources, and advocating for families’ needs. This role involves attending a monthly LEAF meeting at the LCPS Administration Building to collaborate with other representatives and bring valuable insights back to our school.
If you’re interested or would like more information, please click here or contact Rachel Wallace at president@ballsbluffpta.com. Your involvement can make a big difference!
