The survey, open from January 30 to March 29, invites students (grades 4-8), teachers, and parents to provide feedback aimed at enhancing educational experiences and the school community. Focusing on five critical aspects—Effective Leaders, Collaborative Teachers, Involved Families, Supportive Environment, and Ambitious Instruction—the survey results will contribute to the 2024 School and Illinois State Report Card, ensuring anonymity for all participants. Those wishing their student not to participate must submit an opt-out form to their child's school office by February 9, 2024.

What’s better than a first grade field trip?? Hannum students went to see a performance of Beauty and the Beast at the Beverly Performing Arts Center last Friday. These first graders loved being guests at the theatre and watching a live performance of a classic tale.

To celebrate the end of the Greek myths unit at Hometown, students enjoyed a Greek treat of pita bread and hummus. They also watched the movie Hercules. This was the perfect way to finish a unit of study filled with lessons on mythology, gods, and goddesses.
