Happy New Year!
We hope you had a wonderful Christmas filled with joy, love, and peace.
We’re excited about the new year and the wonderful things happening in our Faith Formation program. Our catechists are committed to guiding your children’s spiritual growth and building strong, caring relationships with them.
Invitation to 10 AM Children’s Mass Families with young children are warmly invited to join us for the 10 AM Children’s Mass in the Faith Formation Youth Center. Your child can participate by reading, offering gifts, or singing. Please register through the Sign Up Genius link or contact your child’s coordinator.
First Reconciliation Preparation As many of our students prepare for First Reconciliation, we’ve shared a kid-friendly video to help them practice.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
January 4th is the Feast of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Did you know that St. Elizabeth Ann Seton helped to plant the seeds for Catholic schools in the United States? I love that she is the patron saint of our Faith Formation program! St. Elizabeth Ann Seton loved the Catholic faith and loved working with children to share the joys of the church.
If you want to learn more about her life and see a few activities for children, check out the below links.
Middle School EDGE Program-Winter Wonderland Christmas Break Session.
During our session on 12/17 we watched an episode of the chosen that included fellowship, pizza, cookies, and sodas. During this time our kids got a chance to build their relationships with each other while seeing the word become flesh.
LifeTeen-Armor of God
We discussed what is the armor of God, how we fight our spiritual battles, and how we can build relationships with each other centered around Christ. In our small groups we covered questions like “what role does truth play in our lives” and “how does our faith protect us"

Safety Procedures
The safety of our students, families, volunteers, and staff is a top priority for our Faith Formation Ministry. It is important to us that parents feel comfortable and confident while their children attend classes at SEAS. We take several steps to ensure we are providing a safe environment for all.
Each of our volunteers and all of the staff are required to take Safe Environment Trainings. Our Good Shepherd and Elementary students must be picked up from their classroom to guarantee that they leave with a trusted adult.
To help with safety measures, we ask that parents read the below handbook provided by the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
