Computer Science Education Week
The Hour of Code Week takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week. Our technology department is collaborating with Google to provide some terrific technology experiences for our students. All students K-6 will have the opportunity to participate in an Hour of Code. This is a challenge to participate in an hour of some type of coding activity. The purpose is to encourage students to explore computer programming and make connections to how it applies to the real world.

Thank you to the PTO for their tremendous support during the Boosterthon Fun Run Fundraiser. We raised over $50,000 for the Roderick Playground Fund! Our students will directly benefit from the efforts of the PTO and the support of the Wrentham community. The Fun Run was a successful event enjoyed by students and staff alike! Thank you to those of you who came out to support the students running!
Bus Safety
Bus drivers will not drop off any kindergarten student if an adult is not visible. The adult may be a parent or other responsible adult. Students in grades beyond kindergarten will be dropped off with or without an adult present unless the situation is deemed unsafe by the bus driver. In that instance, the student will be returned to the school and the students’ parents or guardians contacted.
Classroom SEL Lessons
In our efforts to create a positive, healthy, learning environment, our students are being exposed to universal language and education related to coping skills and self-regulation. Our school adjustment counselors continue to teach various SEL lessons in classrooms.
Recess Reminders
Please remember that the weather in New England can be unpredictable. We make every effort to take the kids outside for recess when the weather allows us to do so. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately and ready for the ever-changing New England weather. Please be sure to label jackets, sweatshirts, hats, etc. as many winter items end up in our school's lost and found.
