Congratulations to 9th grader, Zipporah Seekatz! Zipporah was accepted, out of high school students, state-wide, to participate in UAA's Real Estate Management+ Investment summer workshop. Congratulations to you, Zipporah! We can't wait to hear all about the workshop!
K-3 Literacy Screening
mCLASS for grade K-3 will be proctored in our office starting April 22nd. This is a SHORT assessment done one-on-one with an advisor. It should only take 10-15 minutes for grades K-1 and 20-30 minutes for 2nd and 3rd-grade students.

Registration for the 2024-25 school year opens April 25!
Every family returning next fall must register.
Starting April 25, students returning to the Anchorage School District can be registered through Q/ParentConnection for the 2024-25 school year. Online registration will close August 15, 2024.

i-Ready Spring Diagnostic
The i-Ready spring diagnostic is now available! If you are using i-Ready at home or would like to use the diagnostic to track academic growth, your student can now log in and begin the latest diagnostic. Remember, you can start and stop this as often as necessary. When your student is finished just email your advisor and ask for the results.
To access the i-Ready assessments:

The steps to become an APC candidate for 2024 election are as follows:
To become a candidate for election for the parent, student, or the higher education representative seats, one must inform the election committee by emailing a brief statement of interest to Frontier Charter School Administrative Assistant Carli-ann Hook at <hook_carli@asdk12.org>. This email must be received by 11:59 p.m., April 18, 2024.

ELECTION TIMELINE
APRIL 18
The applicant’s Statement of Interest must be received by Frontier Charter School no later than April 18, 2024.
MAY 1
Voting begins. Frontier Charter School will distribute ballots by email on May 1.
MAY 14
Send your completed ballot by e-mail to Carli, hook_carli@asdk12.org by 11:59 p.m., May 14, 2024.
MAY 15
The votes will be counted and the candidates will be informed of the election results on May 15, 2024. The election committee report will be kept at the school office and made available for review.
Free Medical Clinic
Do you know anyone in need of FREE, quality healthcare: dental vision, medical? Remote Area Medical (RAM) will be at Begich Middle School, April 20-21, opening at 6 am – first-come, first-served. The parking lot will open the day before the event, by midnight and remain open.
All services are free and open to the public. No ID required.
