Mustang Memo
September 30, 2024
Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
As we turn our calendar to October, it’s easy to “find God in all things” as the beautiful Fall colors brighten the shorter days. It is a wonderful time of year to live in Nebraska.
The month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary. In celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 7th, MOQ Parish is hosting the annual candlelight procession around the campus at 7:30 PM. The Archbishop will be leading the procession. All are invited.
Additionally, throughout the month of October, families and students are invited to gather in the narthex each Friday morning at 7:40 AM to pray the rosary. Students from each House will take turns leading the rosary. Thank you to the Houses of Stein and Mother Teresa for leading this Friday’s rosary. Please feel free to join in whenever you arrive. Students will be dismissed from the narthex to their classrooms at 7:55 AM.
A new month also brings new DWP focus skills - Following Instructions (K-2), Cooperation (3-5) and Organization (6-8). Teachers will provide students with many opportunities to learn and practice the spotlight DWP skill for the month. Our school-wide discipline program, Discipline with Purpose, develops and supports a common language for teaching students important self-discipline skills. For more information about DWP please click HERE. Thank you for your support and partnership as we teach these important life skills.
God bless,
Maureen Hoy

Cafeteria News
All Mary Our Queen families are encouraged to review and fill out the Free & Reduced Price Meals Family application. This free, one page application is used to determine if your family qualifies for lunch benefits. Qualification is based on income and the number of people in your household. All information provided in the application and any associated documentation is kept confidential. Applications are accepted at any time during the school year. Students receiving these benefits get the same meal as all other students. Benefits carryover to the first 30 days of the next school year. I cannot guarantee that every family that applies for benefits will qualify. But, if you don’t apply, you won’t qualify. Just like tuition assistance helps you provide a great education for your student, these lunch benefits, if you qualify, will help you provide lunch for your students on a daily basis. Completed applications can be turned into the school office or emailed directly to me. If you have more questions about these benefits, please feel free to contact me.
Please consider volunteering in the MOQ cafeteria. We are in need of 1-2 additional
volunteers this Tuesday, Oct. 1st. Click HERE to sign up. Thank you in advance.
