Volunteering at BCE
There are lots of ways parents and family members can get involved at our school! Visit the PTA Volunteering page here and check out what works for you: recess monitoring, cafeteria monitoring, library volunteering, helping your child's teacher as a homeroom representative, making copies in the teacher workroom, and more! If you want to volunteer in a particular area, please make sure to sign up via our Sign-Up Geniuses. This helps the front desk know who to expect on what day. Thank you!
Register to volunteer by completing the volunteer application form. Applicants must use their legal name as it appears on their driver’s license or passport. You MUST have a Social Security Number to complete the online form.
To improve student safety, any person wishing to volunteer in Round Rock ISD is required to complete a Volunteer Application.
- Application must be renewed each school year
- Application should be completed as early as possible
- Application takes approximately five minutes to complete
- You must hit SUBMIT (not just ‘save’) for the application to be processed
- Applications take 72 hours to process
- Once completed, present your photo ID at the campus to be scanned into Raptor
- Check the status of your application by contacting the front office at your child’s campus

Celebrating our Grandparents
At BCE we think our grandparents are EXTRA special and deserve more than just one day (September 8th) of recognition! So we would love to celebrate all our wonderful grandparents the entire month of September. Our grandparents are invited to bring their grandchild/grandchildren for lunch (during their assigned lunch time) in our Blue Jay cafe. The lunch schedule is listed below. If you chose to bring lunch to your grandchild/grandchildren for lunch, please make sure you bring in your license so we can scan you into our Raptor system and provide you with a visitor badge. We look forward to seeing you!
BCE Common Area Expectations - (Part 3)
Our common area expectations focus for this week is the the hallway (see below). Our grade level teachers teach and reinforce these expectations every day and students earn validations for showing safe, respectful, and responsible behavior. These validations help them earn class rewards, school-wide rewards, and new this year color team rewards. We would appreciate it if you could also reinforce these expectations at home with your child before they come to school each day. We appreciate your help!
McNeil HS Tunnel Stampede
McNeil's Homecoming game is quickly approaching, which means that it's almost time for the 2024 Homecoming Tunnel Stampede! As we have in years past, we invite all area students that attend a feeder school to McNeil to come out and run through the tunnel with the Mavericks varsity football team before the game. The school with the most registered participants will receive the 2024 Homecoming Tunnel Stampede trophy and bragging rights for the next year!
